Kilos of gold and luxury watches found in former Prosecutor General Piskun's estate in France
During the search of the estate of the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Sviatoslav Piskun French law enforcement officers have discovered several kilograms of gold, tens of thousands of euros in cash and 18 luxury watches.
Details of the search
According to the investigation, the search took place in Piskun's private home in France. Among the seized items:
gold bullion and gold products with a total weight of several kilograms;
significant amounts of cash in euros;
18 precious watches premium brands.
Origin of these assets Piskun could not explain, This was the basis for further investigative actions.
Law enforcement response
After the search French police detain Piskun, and the prosecutor's office opened criminal proceedings on suspicion of money laundering. The source of origin of the seized valuables and possible financial schemes for their legalisation are currently being established.
