German government spokesperson Stefan Cornelius said that the war in the Strait of Hormuz is not a NATO war. According to him, this situation has nothing to do with the Alliance.
Berlin has officially refused to support Donald Trump's initiative to protect shipping in the region. Germany will not participate in US-led military operations in the Middle East.
