Zelenskyy: There is progress in the military direction of the talks in Geneva
Some progress has been made in the military aspect of the talks between Ukraine, the United States and Russia held in Geneva. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy following consultations with the Ukrainian delegation.
According to the Head of State, Ukrainian and international military experts already understand, how the ceasefire and end of the war can be monitored, If there is political will to do so, the parties will be able to do so.
The US role in monitoring the ceasefire
Zelensky stressed that the mechanism for monitoring the possible cessation of hostilities will necessarily involve the participation of the US side.
At the same time, the positions of the parties to the negotiations remain different, as the negotiations themselves were difficult.
The parties agreed to continue the dialogue and move forward with diplomatic efforts.
