President of the United States Donald Trump sharply criticised Spain after reports of restrictions on the use of Spanish military bases by US forces.
What Trump said
According to the US leader, Madrid allegedly informed Washington that the US could not use Spanish bases.
«Spain has told us that we cannot use their bases. We are completely shutting down trade with them,» Trump said.
He also added that the US could act without authorisation if necessary.
«If we want to, we will simply fly into Spanish bases and use them without permission,» the president said.
