Hungary may put pressure on Ukraine over incident with cash of cash collectors - minister says
Hungary may use the incident with the stolen money from cash collectors as an instrument of political pressure on Ukraine. This was stated by the Hungarian Minister of Transport Janos Lazar.
According to him, Budapest is considering using this situation in negotiations with Kyiv on resumption of full-fledged operation of the oil pipeline «Friendship».

The Hungarian side believes that the situation with the stolen funds should be resolved at the interstate level. At the same time, Budapest directly links this issue to the country's energy interests.
According to Lazar, Hungary may increase political pressure on Ukraine if the issue of oil transportation via the Druzhba pipeline remains unresolved.
Context.
The Druzhba pipeline remains one of the key routes for Russian oil supplies to Central Europe. It supplies energy resources to Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, among others.
Budapest has repeatedly insisted on the stable operation of the pipeline, as the Hungarian economy is heavily dependent on these supplies.
Recent statements by Hungarian officials may indicate an increase in political tension between Kyiv and Budapest over energy and security issues.
