Starmer: Negotiations on the transfer of Tomahawks to Ukraine are ongoing

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer confirmed that negotiations with partners on the possible transfer of Tomahawk cruise missiles« are ongoing.

«We are all working on this. Ukraine must have all the tools it needs to protect its freedom,» Starmer said.

According to the head of the British government, discussions are underway within the framework of allied coordination and relate to long-term opportunities to strengthen Ukraine's defence.

«Tomahawks are highly accurate long-range cruise missiles, that can hit targets at distances up to 1600 km.
Their transfer to Ukraine would allow increase the range of strike capabilities Armed Forces of Ukraine and to make defence more flexible in the face of the winter period of Russian attacks.

Earlier, the US and British media reported on the potential for such a move, but no official decision has been announced yet.
