Reasons for the shortage

Ukrenergo explained that The power system remains in a critical condition due to damage to thermal and hydroelectric power plants, as well as limited opportunities to import electricity from the EU.

The company calls on Ukrainians to consume electricity economically, especially in the evening hours from 17:00 to 23:00, when the network load is at its highest.
