President of Russia Vladimir Putin said that the decisions taken when the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022 were «correct and timely».
He made this statement during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Statements about the “justification” of the invasion
During his speech, Putin once again repeated the propaganda theses of “protecting the Russian-speaking population” and “external threat”, calling the war a “special operation”.
According to him, “the decisions made in February 2022 were correct and timely.”.
«If we had not done this then, the situation could have been much worse for Russia,» he said.
