On the night of 5 December, unknown drones attacked the port Temryuka in the Krasnodar region of Russia. According to local sources, after a series of strikes, the port infrastructure caught fire and personnel were urgently evacuated.

Dozens of rescuers and special equipment were involved in extinguishing the large-scale fire. Official structures of the Russian Federation traditionally do not disclose the extent of the destruction.


Syzran refinery also under attack

In the Samara region, the consequences of a possible drone attack on Syzran Oil Refinery - one of the key enterprises of the Russian energy sector in the Volga region.

The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that «nine UAVs were shot down at night», but local residents report detonation and fire on the refinery premises.


Kurumoch Airport suspends operations

Due to the threat of new drone strikes in the region, the Kurumoch airport has been shut down. Departures and arrivals are blocked.

The airport reports that flights suspended until the situation stabilises.


Communication problems

The region is home to restrictions on mobile internet operation - probably to make it harder for drones to navigate.
