Drone debris hits Veshkaima 500kV substation in Ulyanovsk region, sparking a fire
A high-voltage substation was damaged in the Ulyanovsk region 500 kV Veskaima«. According to official statements by the Russian authorities, the facility was attacked by «precision-guided debris after a drone was shot down», which caused a fire on the substation's territory.
The local administration informs:
«An attack by enemy UAVs on a substation in the Veshkaimsky district was repelled. There were no casualties or injuries. Special services are working at the site where the wreckage fell.».

The fire broke out in the substation's equipment maintenance area. Russian emergency services are localising the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
The Veshkaima substation is one of the key power supply lines in the region, and its operation is essential for powering industrial facilities and some residential areas.
