New «slave» laws come into force in Russia: taxes, communications and property under control

As of today, the Russian Federation several laws came into force at once, which local social media users are already calling «slave».
The new rules actually expand the powers of state bodies, The Russian government has been using the law to interfere in the financial and private spheres of Russian life.


Tax control

▪️ Federal Tax Service was entitled to write off funds from bank cards without a court order citizens to pay off their tax debts.
If the money is not enough, the tax authorities will be able to seize the debtor's property.
Information on write-offs will be sent via the state portal «Gosuslugi» (analogue of the Ukrainian «Diya»). A month after the notification, the automatic write-off will begin.


Mobile communication control

▪️ Telecommunications operators can now terminate subscriber services, who have not passed the personal data verification.
Officially, this is explained by the «fight against fraud», but in fact, the authorities receive a tool for tracking users and monitoring communications.


Debts of heirs

▪️ Notaries are obliged to notify heirs of the debts of the deceased. From now on, debts are inherited and must be fully paid by the new owners of the property.


Registration of migrants

▪️ In Moscow and the Moscow region All labour migrants were obliged to register via a special mobile application.
Fines and deportation are foreseen for refusal or delay in registration.


Prohibition of mining

▪️ In the regions Buryatia and Transbaikalia officially cryptocurrency mining was banned due to an alleged lack of electricity.
Similar restrictions are already in place in ten Russian regions, This virtually eliminates legal mining in the country.
