Russia orders 56 Kalibr cruise missiles with nuclear warheads
According to the portal “Military”, The Russian defence ministry has signed a contract for the production of 56 Kalibr cruise missiles« in nuclear design.
Deliveries must be completed by the end of the year 2026, This indicates the Kremlin's intention to continue developing strategic offensive weapons despite international pressure and sanctions.
Contract details
According to the source, the contract was signed with a manufacturer from the of the Russian military-industrial complex, which is responsible for the serial production of high-precision sea-launched cruise missiles.
The total amount of ammunition ordered is 56 units, some of which can be equipped with low-yield nuclear warheads. This significantly increases the potential threat to NATO and Ukraine, as such missiles can be deployed on ships and submarines in the Black and Baltic Seas.

Rocket «Calibre (3M14) - is a high-precision cruise missile capable of hitting targets at a distance up to 2,500 km.
Previously, Russia actively used Kalibr during attacks on the territory of Ukraine, but due to a shortage of components and import restrictions, production rates have dropped significantly.
Nevertheless, the new contract may indicate Russia's attempts to restore stockpiles of strategic missiles, and to upgrade some of them for nuclear equipment.
