Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation announced a former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich у international search.
He is charged with «terrorist activity» and «spreading fakes about the Russian army».

According to the Russian media, Arestovich's name appeared in the database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs with the mark «wanted under articles on terrorism».
The case was opened under the so-called articles on «spreading false information» and «justifying terrorism».

The database states that «the search is being conducted within the framework of a criminal case», without specifying any details.


Before that, Arestovych gave a scandalous interview

The day before, he gave an interview to a Russian journalist Ksenia Sobchak, where he stated that if he won the presidential election in Ukraine «I could give Crimea and four regions to Russia for the sake of peace».
These words caused a wave of criticism in Ukraine and became newsworthy event in Russian propaganda.

«We have to find a way to stop the war, even if it is a compromise,» Arestovich said in a conversation with Sobchak.


Reaction in Ukraine

Ukrainian politicians and experts have criticised Arestovych's statements, emphasising that no territorial concessions to russia are acceptable.
The Presidential Office noted that Arestovych does not represent the official position of the state.
