The enemy intensified offensive actions

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Over the last day, Russian troops attempted to advance in several directions. In particular, active hostilities continued near Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka.

The occupiers used assault groups supported by artillery and aviation, but Ukrainian soldiers repelled all attacks.

Situation at the frontline

• Kupianske direction. Russian troops tried to break through the Ukrainian defences, but suffered losses in manpower and retreated.

• Bakhmut direction. Fierce fighting continues, with the enemy using kamikaze drones and cannon artillery. Ukrainian forces are in control of the situation.

• Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. The enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units several times, but without success.

• Southern front. Artillery duels continue in the area of Orikhove and Robotyne. Ukrainian artillery destroyed several ammunition depots.

Enemy losses

According to the General Staff, the Russian army suffered losses over the past 24 hours alone:

• more than 450 soldiers killed and wounded,

• 7 tanks and 12 armoured vehicles,

• several artillery systems,

• an ammunition depot destroyed by a precision strike.

Context.

Analysts note that the Kremlin is trying to achieve at least tactical successes to show «victories» to its audience. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct defensive and counter-battery actions, preparing for new stages of operations.
