Rutte: The issue of transferring long-range missiles to Ukraine is not under discussion

Rutte: missile issue is not yet under discussion

NATO Secretary General Mark Rütte said. the transfer of long-range offensive missiles to Ukraine is not currently on the agenda.

«This issue is not being discussed today because it is bilateral. That is, some countries want or do not want to supply it to Ukraine,» the politician explained.

Rutte noted that the allies continue to coordinate military assistance to Kyiv, but Long-range weapons remain a politically sensitive issue, This requires separate decisions by each state.

The Netherlands is a member of the coalition of partners providing Ukraine with F-16s, and also participate in the training of Ukrainian pilots and technicians.
At the same time, Rutte stressed that Long-range strike capability transfer requires a broader consensus among NATO members.

«We are being careful not to draw the Alliance into a direct confrontation with Russia,» he added.
