SBU detains spotter who directed Russian strikes on Kyiv

The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian shelling spotter, who worked for the FSB and passed intelligence on Kyiv to the enemy.
The defendant was A 36-year-old employee of a company that installed fire and security systems at critical facilities in the capital.

His access to strategic locations allowed him to quietly collect information of interest to the Russian special services.

What he did

According to the investigation, during the autumn, the man:

  • collected coordinates of strategic and energy facilities Kyiv;

  • He passed them on to the FSB as potential «targets» for missile strikes;

  • He visited the sites of previous shelling,

What was seized

During the searches, security forces found smartphones and flash drives, 8 Ukrainian SIM cards, which the traitor used for conspiracy and communication with the FSB.
