Exposing an agent network
Counter-intelligence Security Services of Ukraine in cooperation with Ministry of Defence exposed another agent infiltration Russian special services to the Ukrainian defence industry.
As a result of a special operation on Mykolaiv region detained a laboratory assistant and a mechanic at a defence plant, who collaborated with Russian military intelligence (GRU).
Details of the case
According to the investigation, both agents acted separately from each other, fulfilling the instructions of his GRU handlers.
They passed it on to the enemy:
geolocation of production workshops and warehouses,
information on the security of the facility,
as well as data on defence orders, The company's operations were carried out.
In addition, the defendants reported to the Russians on the consequences of combined missile and drone attacks around the port city and recorded the movements of Ukrainian troops.
How the SBU exposed the agents

Both agents detained right during the work shift on the plant's premises.
According to the investigation, both offenders came to the attention of the GRU after published anti-Ukrainian comments in Telegram channels.
During the searches, they were found to have smartphones with media files and coordinates of defence facilities, which the occupiers planned to shell.
Legal qualifications
Based on the evidence collected SBU investigators served the detainees suspicion notices for ч. 2 Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - high treason committed under martial law.
Both traitors are in in custody without bail. They are threatened with life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
