AI solutions are becoming key in modern warfare, the head of the Ministry of Defence said. Separate centres for different areas, such as drones and artillery, will appear in the near future. The first one was Defence AI Centre «A1».
MoD introduces a network of AI centres
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has announced the creation of specialised artificial intelligence centres. Each centre will work on a separate area, including drones, Middle Strike, Deep Strike and artillery.
According to the Minister of Defence Fedorova, These centres will become part of modern warfare. The main goal is to strengthen analysis, control and forecasting on the battlefield.
Tasks of the Defence AI Centre «A1»
The A1 Defence AI Centre has already started working. Its main function is to analyse combat data and predict enemy actions.
The centre will also be responsible for the development of autonomous systems and the creation of new control tools. The work is aimed at improving the efficiency of military operations.
