Ukraine has created an analogue of Mavic - the Slavik drone is being prepared for testing

Ukraine is developing a new reconnaissance drone «Slavik», which is intended to become an analogue of the popular Chinese drone DJI Mavic.

According to the developers, the device has already almost ready, and the first combat trials could begin in about a week.

After testing, the drone will be officially presented and launched mass production.

The remote control will be familiar to the military

The engineers decided to make control panel and interface as similar to Mavic as possible, to make it easier for the Ukrainian military to switch to the new system without additional training.

This will allow for faster integration of the drone into the combat operations of the units.

The advantage over Mavic

One of the key features of the new drone will be lighthouse guidance system.

This will allow the drone:

  • maintain orientation even during work of the REB

  • stay in touch with the operator

  • automatically return to the start point

Popular drones have Mavic There is no such function.

Context.

Ukraine is actively developing its own drone production to reduce dependence on imported technology and increase the resilience of intelligence systems at the frontline.

New developments should ensure stable operation of drones even in difficult electronic warfare conditions.
