John Thun: it's time to act
Leader of the Republicans in the US Senate John Thun said. Congress should consider a bill on new sanctions against Russia as soon as possible.
He said this in a comment to the publication Punchbowl News.
«It is time to consider a bill to strengthen sanctions against the Russian regime. We need to show that aggression will have consequences,» said Thun.
New sanctions are part of a wider package

expanding restrictions against of the Russian energy sector;
blocking supplies high-tech equipment for the Russian military-industrial complex;
sanctions against intermediaries in third countries, to help circumvent the embargo.
