KVEDs for sole proprietors will be cancelled in Ukraine: a new classification system NACE 2.1-UA will be launched in 2027
In Ukraine, with 1 January 2027 will be the current KVED system was cancelled (Classifier of Types of Economic Activity).
This was reported in the State Statistics Service, specifying that the country is switching to new NACE 2.1-UA standard, which will fully comply with European standards.
The new classifier will cover All business entities - both companies and individual entrepreneurs (IEs).
The code structure will remain four-figure, but the codes will have a different compliance system, The company's classification is aligned with the EU classification.
«The purpose of the transition is to harmonise Ukrainian statistical standards with European ones. This will facilitate reporting, market analysis and integration of Ukrainian business into the EU's single economic space,» the State Statistics Service explained.
2026 will be transition period. At this time, entrepreneurs will be able to:
check compliance of their KVEDs with the new NACE 2.1-UA codes;
get consultations from the State Statistics Service on the choice of core and additional activities;
update the information in your registration documents without penalty.
It is expected that the full transition to NACE 2.1-UA will take place by the end of 2026, and with 1 January 2027 the old KVEDs will become invalid.
