The United States has determined the composition of its delegation to the talks in Geneva

The United States has determined who will be part of the official delegation to the talks in Geneva on the US «peace plan». This was reported by CNN.

The American side will be represented:

  • Dan Driscoll - Secretary of the US Army, one of the key participants in the previous discussions;

  • Steve Witkoff - the special representative, who, according to media reports, drafted the document together with the Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev;

  • Marco Rubio - Secretary of State of the United States.

Witkoff's role has attracted particular attention in the Western media, as he was involved in the preparation of the document, which is currently being actively discussed between the parties and contains a number of controversial provisions.

Context.

On Sunday, 23 November, A key meeting of representatives of Ukraine, the United States and European partners will take place in Geneva.

The parties are to discuss Washington's proposals for ending the war and possible amendments to the document after consultations in Kyiv and European capitals.
