In Sumy, Russia deliberately attacked rescuers: a fire truck was destroyed
In Sumy, Russian troops conducted a second drone strike on a firefighting site, deliberately attacking rescuers. The targeted hit completely destroyed a SES fire truck. The personnel managed to take cover, so there were no casualties or injuries.
How the attack happened
According to the State Emergency Service, the first attack on the city occurred in the morning. Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene and began extinguishing the fire. While the work was underway, the enemy carried out a second UAV attack, aimed specifically at rescue equipment.
The SES emphasises:
