The majority of Ukrainians are ready to support a peace agreement with Russia, even if it involves territorial compromises. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology. 

Most Ukrainians are ready to compromise

According to the study, 61% of respondents said they would support the establishment of peace, The agreement with the US and Europe will be subject to a number of key conditions.

What conditions for peace do Ukrainians support?

The survey participants were asked whether they would support a peace agreement that provides for:

  • Ukraine's membership in the European Union by 2027

  • territorial compromises

  • reliable international security guarantees

  • a large-scale plan for the country's economic recovery

The majority of respondents said that under such conditions they would be ready to support the end of the war.

According to KIIS:

  • 61% - would support such an agreement

  • 10% - oppose

  • 21% - would not participate in the vote

  • 9% - could not decide on the answer

Sociologists note that the results indicate a public demand for an end to the war, subject to security guarantees and international support.
