The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Poland jointly evacuated 16 Ukrainians from the Middle East. The evacuation took place on 11-12 March due to the escalation of hostilities in the region.
A joint operation by diplomats
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported that the evacuation was organised with the participation of diplomatic missions in Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait. Thanks to coordination between these countries, the citizens were safely evacuated.
Reasons for evacuation
Ukrainians found themselves in a difficult environment due to active hostilities in the Middle East. The situation was becoming increasingly dangerous, forcing diplomats to act quickly. Their transfer to Warsaw allowed us to guarantee their safety and further support.
Future plans and support
Upon arrival in Poland, the evacuees received the necessary assistance, including temporary accommodation and medical support. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine continues to monitor the situation in the Middle East and is ready for further evacuations if necessary.
Poland's role in crisis situations
Poland has traditionally been a reliable partner of Ukraine in addressing humanitarian issues. This joint operation has once again confirmed the importance of international cooperation in a challenging geopolitical environment.
