Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko confirmed that fuel cashback programme, announced by the President of the Volodymyr Zelenskyy, The programme will last until 1 May 2024. She stressed that this is an important government initiative to support Ukrainian drivers in difficult times.
Conditions for receiving cashback on fuel
According to Yulia Sviridenko, citizens will be able to receive a partial refund from the state when buying fuel at petrol stations. The programme provides for different refund rates depending on the type of fuel. Thus, 15% of cashback for diesel fuel, 10% for petrol and 5% for autogas.
The National Cashback programme as the basis for payments
Cashback payments will be made through the app «National cashback», which has already proven itself in other areas of consumption. This makes the process of receiving compensation as convenient and transparent as possible for citizens. The app will allow people to track their refunds and receive them directly to their bank cards.
The initiative aims to support Ukrainians who use cars on a daily basis, reduce the burden on the family budget and stimulate economic activity during the war and reconstruction of the country.
It is worth noting that the programme is limited - the fuel cashback will be available until 1 May 2024. After that, the government plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the measure and possible further steps to support citizens.
