Kyiv residents with damaged housing due to network failures will receive UAH 40 thousand - Klitschko

Residents of the capital whose homes were damaged as a result of accidents on water and heat supply engineering networks, will be able to receive one-time financial assistance in the amount of UAH 40,000. The relevant decision is to be made today by the Kyiv City Council, the mayor said. Vitali Klitschko.

We are talking about damage to housing caused by network accidents that occurred after hostile attacks on Kyiv's infrastructure this year.

Who will receive payments

The Kyiv City State Administration clarified that the assistance is provided for cases where, due to:

  • pipe bursts;

  • damage to systems water or heat supply;

  • flooding of apartments

residents are forced to urgently restore their homes and incur additional costs.

What documents you need to submit

To apply for the payment, one of the owners or co-owners of the damaged housing should contact Department of Social and Veteran Policy and provide it:

  • passport and identification code;

  • documents confirming property right;

  • a certificate from management company, condominium or housing association about network damage;

  • bank details to transfer funds.

Additional assistance for the poor

In addition to the main payment, the city provided for additional lump sum payment for low-income Kyiv residents who receive state social support and have suffered from shelling.

Its size will be one subsistence minimum.
