Tymoshenko's lawyer declares victory: NABU returned the money
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has returned the leader of the Batkivshchyna party« Yulia Tymoshenko funds that were seized during the searches. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the defence.
Details of the case
As noted, the decision to return the money was made by the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court. The money was seized during investigative actions at the Batkivshchyna party office.
The politician's lawyer called it an important step towards restoring justice. According to him, during the court hearings, the prosecution allegedly admitted that there were no facts of any transfer of funds by Tymoshenko.
Defence position
The defence team also recalled that earlier the results of an independent examination were presented in court. According to Tymoshenko's side, it indicates the presence of signs of editing in the audio recording released by NABU.
