Water reserves in Donetsk region are about two weeks away. Due to the destruction of the dam on the Siverskyi Donets, water supply schedules are being introduced in the region's cities.
Entering water supply schedules
Water supply schedules will be introduced in the cities of Donetsk Oblast. This was announced by the general director of the utility company «Water of Donbass» Alexander Novak.
The restrictions will be in place due to a critical decrease in water reserves. The available resources will be enough for about two weeks.
Reasons for the shortage
According to Novak, the reason was the destruction of a dam on the Siverskyi Donets. The dam was destroyed by Russian troops using guided aerial bombs.
Due to damage to the dam, water intake became impossible. This led to a sharp decline in water supplies in the region.
Context.
