In the Ivanivska community, there are numerous complaints about noise from motorbikes with straight-through mufflers. Most of these vehicles are owned by minors. Local authorities and the police are already considering confiscating the motorcycles in favour of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Residents' complaints and government response

With the beginning of the warm season, the National Police and the village council of the Ivanivka community receive numerous complaints about the loud operation of motorcycles. The main problem is that the noise exceeds sanitary standards, which interferes with residents' rest and sleep.

Motorcycles with straight-through mufflers are mostly driven by minors. Veterans and other villagers are particularly outraged by the disturbance of the peace.

Plans for requisitioning and educational measures

At one of the meetings, it was suggested that requisition motorcycles with loud silencers in favour of the Armed Forces. The issue is already being worked on by the territorial recruitment centre and the patrol police.

Prior to the confiscation, educational meetings with underage drivers will be held in the community's educational institutions. The first event will take place at the Ivaniv village lyceum on 20 March 2026.

Context.

Noisy motorcycles with straight-through mufflers have become a common problem in many Ukrainian communities. These vehicles are often used by minors, making it difficult for the police to respond.

The requisition of vehicles for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is one of the possible solutions to reduce public order violations.
