Pavel Durov launches mining on Telegram: Cocoon decentralised network is presented
Founder of Telegram Pavel Durov announced the launch of a new project Cocoon - a decentralised network for AI computing and mining based on the TON blockchain.
According to Durov, Cocoon will be a platform that will allow users to rent out your own video cards for artificial intelligence processing, receiving reward in TON tokens.
«We are creating a decentralised infrastructure for the development of private and affordable AI computing. Cocoon will enable every user to join this ecosystem,» said Durov.
How it will work
The Cocoon network will unite the power of users' GPUs around the world, to ensure cloud-based AI computing without centralised control.
Participants will be able to connect your GPUs to the network.
The system automatically distribute tasks to neural networks between nodes.
For the provided computing power, users will receive remuneration in TON.
Telegram to become Cocoon's first client
The first user of the new infrastructure will be Telegram, who plans to use Cocoon for internal AI models and processing data from bots and services.
Thus, Cocoon can become one of the first Web3 artificial intelligence integration projects in a large-scale communication application.
Context.
Telegram is actively expanding its ecosystem in 2024-2025 TON - from payment solutions to tokenised games and marketplaces.
The launch of Cocoon could be the next step in building a decentralised AI cloud, which will combine blockchain, cryptocurrencies and neural networks.
