Commission decides to deprive Trukhanov of Ukrainian citizenship

The media reported that Commission under the President of Ukraine decided to deprive Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov of Ukrainian citizenship.
According to the current legislation, after such a decision the powers of the official are terminated automatically, without the need for additional procedures or decisions of the city council.

The final decision on the loss of citizenship is made by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the basis of a proposal from the commission.
After the decree is signed, the document is submitted to Migration Service for implementation.
