SBU strikes Russian oil and gas facilities in Temryuk and Orenburg - tanks and gas plant on fire
Long-range drones of the Special Operations Centre «Alpha» Security Service of Ukraine struck two key facilities in the russian oil and gas sector - oil tanks in the seaport of Temryuk and Orenburg Gas Processing Plant.
A blow to the port of Temryuk
The first to come under attack was Temryuk seaport in the Krasnodar Territory.
Based on available information:
Two oil tanks are on fire;
the fire area is about 2 thousand sq m;
The following are involved in extinguishing 70 people and 18 pieces of equipment.
Attack on a gas processing plant in Orenburg
Subsequently, the attack was carried out by Orenburg Gas Processing Plant - the world's largest gas chemical complex that processes up to 37.5 billion cubic metres of gas per year.
As a result of the attack:
happened gas ignition in the pipeline of the overpass of the 3U-70 unit, which cleans the raw gas from hydrogen sulphide and carbon dioxide;
the technological process at the enterprise is suspended;
the fire was detected by the service FIRMS, which monitors fires in real time.
Position of the Security Service of Ukraine
According to an informed source in the SBU, the strikes are part of systematic campaign against the oil and gas sector of russia.
«Each such facility hits the Russian budget, reduces foreign exchange earnings, and complicates logistics and fuel supplies for the army. The SBU will continue to conduct special operations to increase pressure on the Russian economy,» the source said.

The oil and gas sector remains a key source of revenue for russia, including to finance the war. The damage to port infrastructure and gas processing facilities directly affects export, logistics and domestic fuel supply.
