As reported by Financial Times with reference to diplomatic sources, US President Donald Trump plans to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on 17 October in Washington.
The event could be the first official meeting between the leaders after Trump's recent statements about his intention to “force Putin to peace”.


Main topics of the negotiations

According to the publication, the parties will discuss the matter:

  • prospects ending the war in Ukraine;

  • supply of weapons, The Russian Federation has a number of military assets, including Tomahawk missiles and air defence systems;
