Tymoshenko claims in court that she used fictitious data
Party leader «Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko stated that the criminal case against her attempts to falsify the case from the first days of the trial. She said this during the court hearing, which was broadcast publicly.
According to the politician, when reading an extract from the minutes the prosecutor used the name of a non-existent MP Mazur. After the judge's remark, the prosecution representative himself admitted that the data was fictitious.

Tymoshenko emphasised that in reality it was a meeting with another MP - Kopytin. According to her, it was he who initiated the contacts.
«I did not offer him anything illegal. All meetings were held on his initiative,» the Batkivshchyna leader said.
Allegations of pressure on NABU
Yulia Tymoshenko also stated that in relation to MP Kopytin a criminal case was opened, and, according to her, he is under pressure from NABU.
«He is interested in closing his own case, which is why such testimonies appear,» Tymoshenko said.
Political context
The statement was made against the backdrop of the active phase of the trial and the prosecutor's request for a preventive measure. Tymoshenko has repeatedly stated that political nature of the persecution and insists on his complete innocence.
