
Polish and Romanian security services have detained three Ukrainian citizens suspected of collaborating with Russian special services and attempting to set up a channel for smuggling explosives through Poland and Romania to Ukraine. The information was confirmed at a briefing by representatives of the Polish Internal Security Agency.
What is known about the detention
Over the past few months, 55 people have been detained in Poland for acting in the interests of Russian intelligence, according to the spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of Polish Special Services.
Among the recent arrests are three Ukrainian citizens: one was detained in a warehouse in Poland (a 21-year-old man), and the other two were detained in Bucharest by Romanian special services.
Purpose and scheme attributed to the detainees
According to the report, the suspects allegedly planned to create a logistics channel to transport explosive materials through Poland and Romania to Ukraine. Details on the type of explosives, the route and the involvement of other persons have not yet been disclosed.
