Russian attack on DTEK's energy facility in Odesa region
On the night of 4 November, Russian troops attacked one of the company's energy facilities DTEK in the Odesa region.
According to the company, the damage to the facility is significant, and its recovery will take time.
«At night, the enemy attacked one of our facilities in Odesa region. The damage is significant. We will start restoration work after receiving permission from the military and rescuers,» DTEK said in a statement.
The situation with energy supply
The company notes that emergency crews are ready to start restoration work. However, access to the site is currently restricted due to the potential for further attacks.
Local authorities clarify that power supply in the region partially stabilised by backup lines, but temporary outages are possible in several communities.
Context.
This is not the first attack on the energy infrastructure of Odesa region in recent weeks. Russian forces regularly attempt to disrupt power generation and distribution facilities to hamper Ukraine's preparations for the winter season.
