Ukraine and NVIDIA launch AI Factory national project

Ukraine creates its own AI factory together with NVIDIA - AI Factory project launched, - Fedorov

A large-scale project is being launched in Ukraine AI Factory - a national «artificial intelligence factory» created in cooperation with an American company NVIDIA. This was announced by the Vice Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.

According to him, the project will allow Ukraine to get its own powerful and secure AI infrastructure, which will become the foundation for national security, public services, research, and the technology sector.

Key areas of the project

Fedorov noted that AI Factory will become a strategic platform for the development of public and private solutions based on artificial intelligence. Among the priority areas:

• building a national AI system based on NVIDIA technologies, including the creation of a cloud infrastructure and hardware base;

• education development, The company's goal is to train new specialists and update academic programmes in artificial intelligence;

• joint research and new developments together with international partners;

• support for Ukrainian start-ups, working in the field of AI and high technology.

The official stressed that creating its own infrastructure will allow Ukraine to minimise the risks associated with cybersecurity and data leakage.

Since the outbreak of full-scale war, Ukraine has significantly intensified its digital transformation and development of high technologies.
The AI Factory project is the first such large-scale partnership between Ukraine and NVIDIA, one of the world's leading providers of GPUs, supercomputing, and artificial intelligence.

The Ukrainian government considers building its own AI infrastructure as a strategic element of defence capability and economic development.
