Two additional Patriot systems to protect Ukrainian cities
Ukraine received another two Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, The company has already taken up combat duty to protect Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure. This was reported by Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
Details
The ministry noted that the transfer of additional air defence systems was made possible by new agreements with the government Germany. The systems strengthen Ukraine's multi-level air defence system and expand its capabilities to intercept ballistic and cruise missiles and aerodynamic targets.
Context.
Patriot remains one of the key elements in the protection of Ukraine's airspace, especially against the backdrop of Russia's regular massive attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure. Strengthening air defence is one of the priorities of Ukraine's defence cooperation with NATO and EU partners.
