Ukraine supports the right of peoples to live without dictatorship - Sibiga on the US operation against Venezuela

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga commented on the deal USA against Venezuela, emphasising Ukraine's principled position in support of the peoples' rights to freedom, security and life without dictatorship.

«Ukraine supports the right of peoples to live free from dictatorship and human rights violations. The Maduro regime has violated all these principles,» Sibiga said.

Ukraine's position

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy stressed that people of Venezuela has the right to live a normal life - in safety, prosperity and with human dignity. According to him, Ukraine will continue to support Venezuelans' right to freedom, respect and observance of basic human rights.

Sibiga stressed that Kyiv's position is based on the universal principles of international law and Ukraine's own experience of fighting against aggression, dictatorship and human rights violations.

Context.

The statement came amid a sharp escalation around the Venezuela, after the US operation against the regime Nicolas Maduro, which a number of countries have already publicly supported or commented on.
