Changes came into force on 16 October - USCIS data

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) updated the programme rules Uniting for Ukraine, which allows Ukrainians to temporarily stay in the United States.
From now on, in order to continue participating in the programme, you need to pay an administrative fee of $1000.


The essence of the changes

Payment is available a prerequisite for consideration of an application for extension of humanitarian status. The USCIS explains that the fee covers the costs of security checks, data updates and programme administration.

Previously, participation in the programme was free of charge, allowing Ukrainians to stay in the country for up to two years at no additional cost.
