Record numbers in recent years
According to Polish Radio, In 2025, the following was recorded a record number of marriages between Ukrainians and Poles.
Compared to previous years, the dynamics are impressive:
2024 - 5,359 marriages
2023 - 2,213 marriages
2015 - only 715
Thus, the number of mixed unions has increased almost eight times in ten years.
Why the number of such marriages is increasing
Sociologists explain the trend by saying that millions of Ukrainian women to settle in Poland after 2022, when the full-scale Russian invasion began.
Many women integrated into Polish society, got jobs and education, and some started families.
In addition, Poland simplifies marriage procedures for foreigners, and Ukrainians and Poles have similar cultural and religious traditions, which contributes to mutual understanding.

Polish media note that such marriages help to deepen ties between countries and form a common social space.
Ukrainian experts add that this trend is a sign of successful integration of our citizens into the EU.
