Ukrenergo warned of a critical situation in case of weekly frosts below -10°C
The head of NPC Ukrenergo warned that Ukraine may face a critical situation in the power system, if the air temperature remains at the level of -10°C and below.
According to him, in this case electricity consumption will increase by, that no import, no internal generation will not be able to fully meet the country's needs.
Why it is dangerous
The power system operates in the face of constant Russian attacks and damage to power facilities. Frosts sharply increase the load on the grid, complicate repair work, and can lead to power shortages during peak hours.
Experts stress that even with maximum electricity imports, the system's stability will depend on the duration of the cold weather and the absence of new attacks.
