«Ukrposhta prepares loans for pensioners: how the new service will work
Ukrposhta is considering launching simplified loans for pensioners. This was announced by the CEO of the company Igor Smelyansky.
According to him, the idea is to provide small amounts «on credit» to cover basic needs if pension payments are temporarily insufficient.
How the mechanism can work
We envisage a simple scheme:
a postman buys the necessary goods for a pensioner;
the amount spent is recorded as a debt;
after receiving the pension, the person returns the funds.
This approach should help the elderly receive the most basic necessities without delays between payments.

The company notes that the initiative is aimed at supporting socially vulnerable citizens, for whom even a short-term lack of funds can create serious difficulties.
At the same time, experts point out the importance of transparent lending terms, the absence of hidden fees and clear regulation of such services.
