New York, 23 September 2025 - At the opening of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Russia's war against Ukraine remained a key topic alongside the war in the Middle East.

• Antonio Guterres stressed that the war in Ukraine remains one of the main challenges to global stability and called on states to act faster to establish a just peace.
