The Government announced the restart of Energoatom and dismissed the Supervisory Board

The Government of Ukraine has decided to complete restart of the state-owned Energoatom company“, said. First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the powers of the current Supervisory Board of Energoatom were terminated“, and within a week new warehouse should be developed and submitted for approval in consultation with international partners.

The decision was made after a series of corruption scandals around Energoatom“, which led to the resignations of the Supervisory Board members, in particular Timothy Milovanov, and to the criminal proceedings of the NABU and SAPO.
