Change of the rental market leader
Kyiv is no longer the most expensive city in Ukraine in terms of rental prices.
According to analysts, the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the capital has fallen to UAH 17,000 per month.
Instead in Uzhhorod a similar apartment costs about 19 700 UAH, а in Lviv - 17 700 UAH.
Why prices rose in the West
Experts attribute the rise in prices in the western regions to the growing demand among immigrants, students and workers moving closer to the border.
In Kyiv, the rental market is saturated, so competition among apartment owners drives prices down.
What to expect next
Experts predict that by the end of 2025 Kyiv may maintain the current price level or record a further decline.
At the same time, Lviv and Uzhhorod may remain among the leaders in terms of rental prices due to limited housing supply.
