Ukraine forms cyber force to fight Russian hackers

Ukraine is preparing to create a new type of military force - the Cyber Force. 
The relevant draft law will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada as early as tomorrow.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will have cyber forces

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian cybersecurity experts have been actively countering Russia's cyber aggression.
They neutralise attempts to attack government websites, infrastructure and communication systems.

The creation of a separate type of troops is intended to «bring cyber defence to a new level and ensure consistency in responding to threats,» the explanatory note to the draft law says.

What will the creation of the Cyber Force bring

• centralised management of cyber operations;

• Increasing the speed of response to attacks;

• development of Ukraine's offensive cyber capabilities;

• integration with NATO partners in the field of cyber defence.

Official establishment The cyber force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will also allow attracting funding, international technical assistance and creating new units at the level of brigades and cyber operations centres.
