At the request of the prosecution, the court ruled to hold the hearing in camera. In this regard, information on the type of preventive measure imposed on the MP is not officially disclosed.

After the hearing, Pyvovarov himself stated that the principle of presumption of innocence was respected and stressed that he considered himself innocent of the charges.

The context of the case

The criminal proceedings relate to alleged bribes in To the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. As part of this case, preventive measures have already been imposed on four of the five defendants.

Consideration of the issue of the fifth MP is scheduled for 1 January 2026. This meeting will also be held in a closed session.

According to the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court verdict.
