White House says war will be resolved - Washington denies «unilateral concessions» Ukraine
The White House says the war in Ukraine will be settled, and the diplomatic process is entering a key phase. Administration officials stressed that it is wrong to interpret possible agreements «as unilateral territorial concessions at Russia's request».
Washington noted that the negotiations should be considered in the complex, The EU's security guarantees, international control and the wider European stability architecture are all taken into account.
Commentary by the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine
In its statement, the US Embassy in Kyiv stressed that for the first time in a long time, the situation is moving towards real peace:
«Finally, the situation is developing in favour of peace - the peace that Ukrainians have been waiting for so long.».
The diplomats stressed that the United States would continue to coordinate its steps with the Ukrainian side and allies.
